René Moreno is Chief Lifesaving Officer at Petco Love, where he turns bold ideas, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment into action that saves pets’ lives. With more than 25 years of experience across nonprofit, public education, small business and corporate environments, he focuses on building the leaders, teams, and systems that make lifesaving possible at scale.

René rejoined Petco Love in 2024, building on over a decade with Petco and Petco Love. Known for his collaborative, people-first leadership style, he believes progress happens when teams are equipped, trusted, and empowered to act.

A Rice University graduate, René lives in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife, two daughters, and their 'fur bro', Nelson.
