Wallace is ready to add love to your home!
Meet Wallace
Age: 3 years old
Gender: Male
Breed: German Shepherd Mix
Weight: 65 lbs.
Wallace arrived at the shelter with a severe road rash to his back legs and side. He was very shy and in pain when he arrived, but he did very well for his intake exam. As he healed, his true personality started to show, and we saw the gentle, sensitive boy he really is. We also noticed his dog friends give him confidence.
Wallace is a calm pup. He seems to be potty trained, walks very well on leash, and although he is shy at first, he warms up quickly to everyone that walks him. The way to his heart is walks and baby talk (he loves to be babied). Within a few minutes of walking, he stops his person to let them know that he would like some pets.
Wallace would love a quiet home with older children and another dog companion. He would love to continue his daily walks and may even thrive in an apartment setting, but wouldn’t mind a yard to do his sniffies, either. His main need is a soft place to land after such a hard year and would love to spend this holiday season in a home. Wallace will make a wonderful, easygoing companion.
In November, Wallace became City of El Paso Animal Services’ longest stay, with more than 330 days at the shelter. That hasn’t stopped Wallace from being a loving and sweet boy.
Meet Wallace or his friends looking for adoption and foster at our Love for the Holidays Pet Adoption & Foster Weekend on December 21 & 22 at City of El Paso Animal Services.
