Meet Bones, a dog with a story that’s both heartbreaking and inspiring. When Bones first came to us, it was clear he hadn’t had the kind of life every dog deserves. He had learned to fend for himself in a world without rules, boundaries, or love—a world that left him scared and unsure of his place.

But here’s the thing about Bones: even with all he’s been through, he’s still got hope in his heart and he’s learning what it means to be cared for. One of our volunteers took him on a car ride recently, and it was like a whole new world opened up to him. He loved watching everything zoom by, catching scents faster than he could process. Then, he experienced something even more magical—a walk on the trails. Bones walked like a dog who finally realized he could belong and be cared for.

Now, Bones is ready for the next chapter. He’s looking for a home where he can continue to grow and thrive. He’d do best in a household with adults and no small animals. He's done well with dogs here and is more comfortable with dogs his size or larger, no cats.

Bones has come such a long way. While Bones has city restrictions due to running loose and getting into trouble without supervision, he’s ready to believe in the second chances we all deserve.
